02 Aug Whale Watching in Seward, Alaska
After my time with the bears in Katmai National Park, I wasn’t sure how anything else could possibly come close to topping that experience.
But Alaska kept showing me her best, and the second half of my trip was filled with stunning scenery, diverse wildlife and amazing experiences.
A real highlight was the Kenai Fjords National Park Cruise from Seward, a 6-hour ride out in the Alaskan waters to view wildlife like whales, sea otters, puffins, orcas and more. I was particularly eager for this day trip, because “Whale Watching in Alaska” was #45 on my 55 Places Bucket List.
Wildlife spotting isn’t guaranteed, but we luckily picked what turned out to be a fantastic day. The weather was clear, the water was smooth… and we saw more sea life (and WHALES!) than I could ever have imagined.
Here’s our journey, in photos!
