08 Jul Snapshot of the Week: My 4th of July Weekend
This 4th of July, I was lucky enough to have a 4 day weekend. That meant there was plenty of time for local travel adventuring! Here are a few photo highlights from my holiday…
THURSDAY, JULY 4
The view from Old Rag – an 8 mile hike in Shenandoah National Park that’s named Virginia’s “most popular and dangerous hike.”
Killer views of the 4th of July fireworks in Washington. (That white blob in the middle is the US Capital Building!)
FRIDAY, JULY 5
Wine tasting at Pearmund Cellars (voted the #1 winery in Virginia this year by Virginia Wine Lover Magazine) was a great way to spend the day.
SATURDAY, JULY 6
A fun craft beer list at Alewife in downtown Baltimore. (I opted for a tart cherry cider!)
Drinks out on the town at the Food Market in Hampden, Baltimore
SUNDAY, JULY 7
A little shopping at Trohv in Hampden. Love walking and exploring the unique shops along the Avenue.
Ended the weekend on a domestic note- picking basil from my garden and making pesto, based on a recipe I picked up while studying abroad in Italy!
