Snapshot of the Week: Lavender Fields Farm

Snapshot of the Week: Lavender Fields Farm

With 2,500 lavender plants and 35 different varieties, the Lavender Fields Farm is a peaceful and picturesque retreat, located less than 10 miles inland from the beach towns in Southern Delaware. Lavender is often used in aromatherapy to assist relaxation, and as you walk the grounds, gentle wafts of lavender float by, instantly wiping away any stress you may have had.

Benches scattered throughout the grounds provide places for rest and reflection, but the ultimate surprise lies within a small grove of trees… a labyrinth, a age-old method of meditation. Bordered by lavender plants, of course.

What was meant to be a quick visit left me not wanting to leave. To say that it was a very special place is an understatement.
