The Ultimate Road Trip Playlist

The Ultimate Road Trip Playlist

The Open Road.

Is there anything better than getting in your car and heading out on a kick-ass road trip? For me, a road trip is one of the best ways to travel because the journey is the destination. (Profound… I know.)

I’m a big fan of creating playlists to accompany my travels and set the tone for my trips. So as my parents, who are celebrating their 40th wedding anniversary this year, embark on a 6 week road trip across the country to visit our nation’s best national parks, I thought it was only fitting that I pull together the ultimate road trip playlist for their travels.

This playlist is designed to have the best foot-tappin’, top of your lungs singin’, ultimate road-trippin’ tunes that will help you enjoy the ride… and may even make you want to keep driving a little longer, just so you can hear the next song.

I feel like a good road trip has to have that motivating, pumping music, and White Stripes delivers on that for sure.

O.A.R. just makes me want to turn up the radio and sing along. And I’m a big fan of Ben Folds and “Brick.”

I don’t why why I love it so much as a road trip song, but personally I can’t go past Neil Young – Heart of Gold.
