Last fall my husband and I visited Gettysburg with some friends and we went to the Dobbin House for dinner on the day that we arrived. There was a short wait (20-30 min) but it was well worth it. This soup was magnificent. When you break into the cheese and find beef along with the onions it is a very nice surprise. But then the flavor is amazing with the first bite. I am that person in our small town that has people talking about the French Onion Soup that I make. But now I will be adding the beef cubes also. It is a must. Paired with this well is a Spiked Hot Apple Cider Cocktail. We had it the same evening and it was well greeted by my best friend and I for it was one of the first cold nights of the fall season. You never know what weather to expect after the sun goes down in the evening during fall. We had a great time visiting this area. You must experience the heritage that this area has managed to keep over the years.
